Get to know me
Welcome!
My name is Kathryn. I am a counsellor and psychotherapist in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I’ve had the privilege of working with adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds as they navigate the complexities of their inner and outer worlds.
I am interested in how early life experiences and relational patterns inform the way we understand ourselves and relate to others. I have extensive experience working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief and loss, complex family dynamics, relationship difficulties (including sexual difficulties), poor self-esteem, and life/role transitions. I have experience working with athletes on performance-related difficulties, as well as ex-athletes, as they grapple with identity loss, emotional adjustment, physical changes, disrupted routines, and the challenge of rebuilding community, purpose, and career direction after leaving sport.
Fun Fact: I just moved back to Toronto after three years living in Rome, Italy. Having been an expatriate myself, I have a keen interest in supporting those living abroad as they navigate the unique psychological and relational challenges of cross-cultural transitions, belonging, and identity.
